You are unique in your own way.
With your way of looking.
To think and weigh things.
Because you laugh.
And other times you cry for no reason.
That you have your own way of enjoying yourself.
And as time goes on, you appreciate what you have and the things around you.
When you know how to balance that the man next to you matters more than a pen with which you write and share thoughts. A simple work tool.
Then realize that you are more important than the things you own.
That money helps you buy a lot. That you can pay with it. But understand that you can’t buy love with it.
That the things you buy are not close to your soul. That those things you surround yourself with don’t have life, and they can’t enjoy it when you come home. That they fail to caress you when you are sad and cannot take care of you when you are sick.
You don’t miss things when you’re not around them. But those things have a price that their value is given by the man in you. Because through them you can express your personality.
When you realize that there are things much worse than a sudden scratch in a moment of inattention, that it has just started to rain, when you wanted to leave the house, or that someone looked at you badly today.
When you put aside the pride that spoils relationships.
When you can say how much you miss someone or when you will say «I’m sorry» and apologize when you’re wrong.
Maybe at some point you will see your way and you will not be able to hate those who have disappointed you.
Or maybe when you end your relationships you will stop taking revenge on the others you once loved.
That you will not let others make your choices for you or in your place.
Then you will probably be able to enjoy and appreciate what you have.
And to feel happier.
