I sit at my desk with my journal open in front of me. I look at the last post, written a day ago. It was about a pleasant conversation I had with a friend.
I smile. It was a beautiful day.
I take a moment to think about the good things in my life. I am grateful for my health, my family and friends, my home. I am grateful for the opportunities I have, for the things I can do.
I think of a recent day when I went for a walk in the woods. It was a sunny day and the air was fresh. I felt the sun on my face and heard the birds singing. I felt so happy and excited.
I think of a delicious meal I had with my family. We laughed and told each other stories. It was a perfect evening.
I think of a time when I helped someone in need. It was my pleasure to make a difference in their lives.
These are just some of the simple things that make me happy. I am grateful for all the good things in my life.
I take my eyes from my journal and look at the sky. Is a beautiful day. I am grateful for it.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I feel happy and fulfilled.
I let go of thoughts and focus on the present. It’s a beautiful moment.
